Crimond's 3rd race meeting saw a busy pit area on a sunny May Day weekend where the action is the attraction. A healthy grid of ministox took the track with local Max Walker Fraserburgh winning the whites and yellows at a canter, Max also scored well in the heats which saw a different winner in each. The F2's saw some bumper action with Robbie Dawson, Stuart Kelly and Albert Smith sharing the top places all day, Albert managing to get his car going again after a hard hit into the Cowdenbeath Wall the night before. The Saloonstox had visting drivers Barry Russell Brechin and Ross Graham from Carluke, Ros didn't have a great day suffer gearbox problems in race 1 and he never made it back out on track. This allowed 3 different local drivers to take victories avoiding the bumper action though out the rest of the pack, Shane Kennedy, Stuart Cameron and Kes Watson all claiming a first place in the fiercely contested formula. The Hot Saloons saw the return of former multi championship winners Billy Tosh and John Buchan to boast the numbers into double figures, John claiming victory in his stunning Corsa D ion heat 2. Altough ex ministox driver Charlie Boast stole the show and was top points scorer of the day, Charlie making his first appearance in the adult formula surely one to watch this season. David Barrack proved once again to be unstoppable in the road goings winning all 3 races having won an incredible eight out of nine so far this season. Plenty action in the Bangers yesterday with John Raffan and John Riddell being declared first equal in heat 2 after John Riddell spinning John Raffan across the line, John Riddell then went on to win heat 3. The Ladies also proved then can have an exciting finish with places being exchanged in the closing laps before Steph Morton taking the chequered flag.
